What kind of idea are we looking for?

MD Start's main focus is on Medical Devices, therefore we would address any idea from any medical field as long as a medical device is involved. We have a broad understanding of the medical device industry, so we aim to develop diagnostic as well as therapeutic devices. However, we are not looking for ideas in Biotech or new drug compounds.

MD Start's mission is to ‘start' a very early stage idea to get to a major milestone where it can be sold or spun out into a new entity. Therefore your idea does not have to be developed at all before you submit it to us. In fact the earlier the stage, the more likely we are to be interested. Nevertheless, if your idea has already passed several steps of development, we will certainly still consider it.

If you would like to share with us your idea, go on the “Submit your idea” page. On this page we ask you to provide your contact details as well as some basic description about the type of idea you have and at what stage of development it is. This helps us to better evaluate your submission. As ideas generally take shape in several places at the same time, we ask you to submit ideas on a non-confidential basis to address the possibility that this idea is already known to us. If appropriate, we can always proceed towards a confidential submission at a later stage.
